MFC CANADA COMMUNITY PRAYER 2020

Almighty Father, in these dark times when evil is rampant throughout the world, you have called us, chosen us, and appointed us to rise in defense of your work. We are your missionary families, commissioned to defend faith, family and life.

Lord Jesus, you are the Rock upon which our families, our community and our Church are founded. With you as cornerstone, help us to be built as living stones into a spiritual house, holy and acceptable. Build this house to withstand the floods and winds of adversity that assault us each day.

Holy Spirit, send us forth as your holy warriors, with clarity of vision and zeal for mission. Empower us in the proclamation of the gospel of salvation in Jesus, and help us in defending our Church against the forces that seek to weaken her.

Mama Mary, teach us the way of kindness and mercy, unite us as your beloved children, and keep us in your loving embrace always.

Amen.

CONSECRATION TO OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY

O Blessed Virgin Mary, you with your Son Jesus crushed the head of the serpent. In the spiritual war that continues to rage in the heavens and on earth, you have already won the victory. Your holy warriors stand before you, dear Mother Mary. We consecrate ourselves to the cause of your Son Jesus, the Redeemer of the world, and to you as his Co-Redemptrix. We dedicate ourselves to the task of winning souls for the Kingdom. We commit to do battle against all evil forces. Cover us with your mantle of protection as you send us forth under your banner. Amen.

Culture

Our culture is our way of doing things in the ministry. Youth attending our activities, member or non-member, will see these as the FACE of MFC Youth.

1. Fun

It is a characteristic of the youth to seek activities that are pleasurable and amusing. We in MFC Youth provide just that kind of environment in the spirit of Catholic enjoyment. We desire to fulfill the need of the youth for merriment through activities that promote not only spiritual but social growth as well.

2. Acceptance

A determinant to one's active participation in a community is the feeling of being welcomed. In MFC Youth, we strive to create an atmosphere of belongingness wherein everyone is given warm reception regardless of race, gender, physical attributes, attitude… etc. We believe that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ because by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body and have been all made to drink into one Spirit (1 Cor. 12:13). Therefore, each person should be loved, just like Christ had loved, in spite of who he/she is and was. (John 15:12)

3. Christ Centered

The focal point in the existence of MFC Youth is Christ. We look to Jesus Christ as our model and guide. Therefore, in each endeavor and activity in our community, we first and foremost seek that God will be glorified. Every activity's goal is for the participant to know Christ and be like Him.

4. Excellence

Since in MFC Youth we believe that all things should be done for the glory of God (1 Peter 4:11), we do everything outstandingly in all the aspects of our lives. We do everything to the best of our abilities by dwelling in truth, honor, righteousness, purity, loveliness and good reputation. (Philippians 4:8)
